The Queensland Music Awards are coming around again for another year, with QMusic announcing the list of finalists selected for the 2015 awards. Over 40 judges from Australia and abroad have been listening to a whole range of music from Queensland artists and as the final list dictates, the diversity within the music community in this part of the country is well represented.

The winners of the Queensland Music Awards, as well as the winner of the Billy Thorpe Scholarship will be announced at the Brisbane Powerhouse on March 30th. The finalists announced for the Billy Thorpe Scholarship this year include Babaganouj, Ayla Scanlan, Moses Gunn Collective and Sahara Beck.

Music fans around the country will have the chance to vote for their favourites in the BOQ People's Choice Award, the voting of which opens on February 23rd. You can get involved by heading to the Queensland Music Awards website at www.qmusic.com.au/qldmusicawards/2015.

The event is to be hosted by triple j's Sarah Howells and Fred Leone aka Rival MC (Impossible Odds Records). Live performances will be courtesy of Airling, Katie Noonan, Blank Realm, Halfway, MKO, Sahara Beck, We All Want To and Tjupurru and the Bulldawadda. Check out the full list of nominees below!
